In 2007 we setup our first display using the christmas-in-a-box by GE. This little box was simple to setup and operate. It came with 4 outlets to plug your lights into, 2 speakers, 30 synchronized songs, and ground stakes. Once we had designed our light layout, all we had to do was run extension cords into one of the 4 outlets (channels), Press ON and the music plays and the lights turn on and off in synchronization with the music. This is a good box for small displays. One thing we learned is you have to compute the amount of amps you plug into the box. For each channel and in total. We used regular light strings and found we could only run about 3 strings per channel. If you use the more effecient LED strings then you could possibly go up to 21 strings per channel.
The below video of the display is a bit grainy because we were using a new digital video camera and not yet quite familiar with it. Enjoy!
